To address the issue of student workers using up their personal printing budgets to print materials for work, we have created the following system of accounting to transfer costs and balances between student workers and the departments they work for.

ITS enforces balances and costs to the students because their printing volume has grown at an unsustainable rate, driving up the cost to the University. By allowing the student worker to access a departmental printing budget, your student workers can submit jobs printed to your printing budget. At the end of each month, you will receive a summary of what was printed by each student worker to a specific budget. This is an automated process of the new printer management system, Papercut.

Requesting Access

Access to a departmental printing budge is simple. It has to be request. To request access, please email Make sure to include the students name, G number, and print budget requested. Once that change has been made, you will receive an email notification with further instructions.
