< Mac Printing 10.5 - 10.6

If you are trying to print on Concordia's network using a Mac that runs OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard), you will need to install the Kyocera permissions fix before your print jobs will process. This is a very simple process which you should only have to complete the first time you connect to a campus printer.


Installation

First, download the utility.

You will see the script in your downloads box as shown.

Double-click the icon to run, and choose Open if prompted. You might see a caution message because the file is hosted on Concordia's Knowledge Base; this does not effect the safety of effectiveness of the utility, so feel free to disregard or bypass this message.

Running the utility will open a Terminal window. Place your cursor in the grey box and type your computer password. You will not see any text appear as you type. This is normal! Hit Return when finished.

If you've typed your password in correctly, you will see [Process Completed] appear in the terminal. If you type it incorrectly, you will simply be prompted for your password again. As soon as you see confirmation that your password has been accepted, you can close the Terminal and continue adding your network printer of choice.
