Ainsworth Building Support Level

Due to safety issues, the Ainsworth Building is only given in-person support during regular business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday) unless a technical or repair issue is of a magnitude that precludes the continuation of critical operation and the staff member manning the Technology Center can be escorted by a Concordia Public Safety Officer to and from the Building if needed.

Concordia constituents should keep the following ideas in mind as they prepare to attend/conduct classes in that building:
  • If you are using AV or networked equipment that is supported by Concordia ITS during the 8:00-5:00 period, verify that the equipment or material you need is in working condition and able to perform to your expectations. If not, contact the Technology Center at 503-493-6300 during the 8:00-5:00 period.
  • Technical or repair issues are addressed on the next business day during the 8:00 to 5:00 time period. If you need repairs made, or technical issues addressed, contact the Technology Center and they will schedule service to occur as quickly as possible on the following business day.
  • Because there is no IT presence at the Ainsworth building, please allow for 30 minutes during business hours for the first available agent to respond to an issue.
  • Laptop Carts: The Technology Service Center is unable to deliver laptop carts to any of the Ainsworth classrooms. This is due to the safety and security of transporting large laptop carts through the neighborhood, as well as a lack of infrastructure that allow to get the carts into the building.

Please keep in mind that support outside the 8:00-5:00 time period is, for safety reasons, by phone only. If, on the rare occasions that AV equipment or networking issues preclude the presentation of materials, make every attempt to continue without the material. The Technology Center will address your issue the following business day after you file your report.
