Speed dials are line buttons that have been programmed to dial a particular number (inside or outside the CU phone system) just by pushing it. You may have as many speed dials as you have open line buttons.

Adding Speed Dials

To add a speed dial, follow the steps below:
  1. Log into the CCM User Web Interface using your network username and password. You must have previously requested access to this via a support ticket. (This is supported only on Firefox)
  2. From the User Options drop down menu, choose the "Device" option.
  3. Choose the "Speed Dials" button on the toolbar located just underneath the User Options drop down menu.
  4. This will bring up the Speed Dial and Abbreviated Dial Configuration page. In the Speed Dials Settings section of the page, from left to right, list the number (remembering to include a "9" in front of the number if it is an outside number) a label, and an ASCII label (which may populate on its own from the "label" field) for your entry. Do this for all open lines that you would like to program with a speed dial number. (The speed dials will display on your phone's screen in the order you input them on this page, with the associated button to the right of the speed dial's label.)
  5. Click the "Save" icon on the toolbar just under the User Options drop down menu.
  6. Click the "Apply Config" icon on the toolbar just under the User Options drop down menu.

If you have any questions about adding Speed Dials to your phone, or are unable to access the CCM User Web Interface, contact ITS via email at support@cu-portland.edu.
